Camry shifter racket

the shifter on my '04 Camry sounds kinda clunky, and chatters a bit in third gear between 2 and 4 grand, is this a "normal" occurence, and if not how do I remedy it. I only have 36,000 miles on it and bought it in Feb with 29,000. Love the car, but the shifter is driving me nuts...HELP
