My cruisecontrol does not work at all on my 97 caravan se. Light doesnt come on or anything. Also ever once in a great while, the speedometer drops down to zero mph, when im on the interstate. What could be going on? Could the cruise control be a fuse?

Just a thought, Check your brake lights. Do they work ok? If not it's possible the brake pedal switch. I know my explorer has a diagnostic routine you can go through which tells you of problems in the cruise system, but i haven't seen any for Dodge. Doesn't mean there is none available.

There should be a diagnostic routine on the Caravan as well, but I'm not sure it will tell you anything about this problem.

Turn the ignition switch off and on three times, ending with it in the on position. If you have a digital speedometer, it may give you a code there after a few seconds, or your engine service light may blink out a code to you in a series of numbers.

The speedo code will be in the form of a digital readout. The service engine light code will be in a progression of two digit numbers, ending with the number 55, which means end of check. If you get only the number 55, that means all is well and you'll have to check elsewhere for your solution.

As said before, the brake light switch is an excellent place to start. It will definately not let your cruise control work if it's bad, but I'm not sure it would affect your speedo.
