I have a 1977 T.A. with a 1970 Ram Air III 60 over TRW,s ported and polished heads a lunati cam ,Torker intake 750 double pumper with 1-5/8s tube headers ,hi output accell distrubutor,,2,1/2 inch stainless exhaust with flowmasters a steel crank ,steel rods she,s all balanced with a 400 turbo reverse valve body w/3800 stall conveter and a 12 bolt posi with 4.10 gears. She has T-tops but I put in a 6 point cage and then added frame connectors ,,I thought I had the problem whoopped but then the other night I was In the Amish country no one around and wanted to put her to the test I rolled off and when she hooked up and I stabbed 2nd gear she blew the T-top out on the passenger side ,,It has done this before,,that is when I started with the 6 point and then I put 1/8 inch steel plating in the front lower quarters and up the sill plates ,,still did it then I went with frame connectors and she still does it,,what else can I do to stop it from blowing t-tops . Any help would be appreciated ,Ive been trying to correct this problem for about a year now been threw 6 tops lol,,I would hate to have to cut the roof off and put a full roof on her she is to nice T-Topped.

You may try asking that question at the PY forums, Im sure someone knows a way. http://216.178.81.108/forums/ Are your SFC's welded in or just bolted?

Make it an 8 or 10-point, like you would in a convertible.
Where did you EVER find a steel crank for the 400? How much did you pay? Zero factory 400 cranks were steel... (except the few Ram AIr V pieces that sneaked out the back door, as Ram Air IV "Super Duty").

I had thought about going with a 6 or 10 cage but I still take the kids out for country rides and that would Kinda make it uncomfortable in the back if I went with a 10 and cross barred it.I guess this is my only option?? I even drilled and spot welded the floor to the sub frame connectors I welded in to stiffin her up there.
