Brake Pad Replacent on a '92 Bird

Hey all I was wondering if anyone could tell me the fastest/easiest way to replace pads (front) on a 92 Bird. I'm 17 so don't have much mula for someone to do it for me, so I figured I'll try it out tomorrow afternoon. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Also anyone have a problem with steering pumps making an extremely annoying sound when turning? kinda like a grinding sound... I do. But it only happens under 35MPH (3rd gear, AUTO) if anyone could tell me how to get rid of it would be awesome as well..

Get a repair manual for your car and read and become familiar with the steps involved in doing a brake job. If you don't want to pay for a manual, your local library may have one you can copy pages from. Be prepared for the need to buy rotors, bearings, grease, and hardware in addition to the pads.

Don't the 92's have unserviceable sealed bearings in the hub?

So the simple answer is: Jack the car up and put it on stands. Pull the wheels off. Take out the 2 bolts holding the calipers in place. Pull the calipers up and take out the old pads. Slide the rotors towards you. Take the rotors to Brakes Plus or Napa and have them turned to give a new nice smooth surface for the pads to wear against. (and like was said before, be prepared for new ones if they are too thin and always a good idea to have these turned to make sure they are true) Bring them home. Clean them with brake clean and put them back on. Lube the sliders on your calipers and use a big c-clamp or channel locks to push the piston back into the cylinder. Install new brake pads. Reinstall calipers. Reinstall wheels.
