I have a 1995 Thunderbird with a 4.6 engine that cuts off at every stop sign and stop light if any one could please tell me what may be causing this I would give many thanks.

It could be a number of things.
Dirty MAF, bad Idle Air Control valve, clogged EGR port, just to name a few.
I would start with the first two & hope that cures the problem.
Cleaning the EGR port is a pain in the ass, so I've heard.

My first reaction would be to replace the IAC after pulling any codes.

I think it is the transmission but I don't know where the module for the transmission is located at if anyone could tell me where it is at that would be very helpful.
Thank you

Does it idle when in park and only dies when in drive or reverse?

What happens is when you make a stop it cuts of, you have to put it in park and restart it.
