Does anybody knows if there is an model of the probably the fastests roadcar ever made : the dauer 962 LM.(0-100km/h in 2.7 seconds in first gear and 0-200 in 7.2sec!!!) I've searched a bit and i guess the only option is to buy a decent 962C race version and mod it....but i guess i would lots of work and i'm not that big of a scratchbuilder. And if anybody knows what kit would be the best start.. I'm already halfway there!!

thanx in advance

you might find something in 1/43 scale in die cast metal or resin. The manufacturers of these kits often do unusual subjects.I don't know of any off hand that could help you but a search would soon turn something up.

Le Mans Miniatures does the Shell Dauer 962 LM car in 1:24th. That should be your starting point, but it's not going to be cheap.

Minichamps makes a beautiful version as a road car in 1/43 but it is a completed model (and bloody expensive). The Le Mans Miniatures is your best bet, I would think there are quite a few modifications to get it to road spec though if that where your headed.

Indeed it won't be cheap...165€(202us$) that's over 3x times the price of my most expensive buy (tamiya enzo). I'll think I'll chek if one those older tamiya kits are good startingpoints.

Hello,

Not sure you could really (or easily) modify a Tamiya 962, huge work, mainly for body!

I've got one of each in stocks for years, the easy line one... If you are interested in, let me know.

Well I've been looking to some tamiya 962 and non of them is from Dauer. One of the things dauer also did when they made the streetversion was making a more spacious cockpit, so i would have to make new windscreens and i don't have a single clue how to do something like that. So I think my ID is a littlle bit over my head.
To bad, but I won't give up. I'll keep searching for other possibility's

Heat-and-smash or vacuum forming. Aircraft model guys have been doing that for years, so do some online search and you'll find how. (I showed that in my Mustang GT-R progress, too.) It's a wasteful technique, but not too difficult to do.
