Hidden Plug Wires?!?!?!

okokok... I'm trying to scrape together some ideas for when I redo my Maro (rebuild trans, fix engine). Like for instance, since I'm gonna have the engine out I'm gonna strip it and paint it red, manifold, heads, etc. I'd like to get a set of ceramic coated headers, and a new water pump (which will be painted too), bigger carb, etc.

I read someplace that you can hide your plug wires somehow, run them beneath the headers or something. Has anyone seen or done this, does it work... like you really can't see them unless you're looking for them, and are there any drawbacks: wires might melt if too close to headers, etc?

Haha,

I thought you were broke?

Any way, my caprice was setup that way stock. the wires double backed off the dizzy then into retainers off each cylinder head, ran under the headers to their respective plugs.

Honeslty, they were a pain in the ass (resolving mis fires and wires getting burnt) and I did away with it.

But, if you're content on doing it, I just saw a nice picture somewhere (or maybe it was at a show) where somebody hid every damn wire under the hood (EFI too!). Wasn't my look tho, why hide what belongs? Now wiring harnesses, that's a whole nother story.

BTW, what with the "okokok" everytime you start? Too much Strange Brew?

And I AM broke... These are just things I want to do over the next 7 months... And if I don't have the money by then... the wife and kids will be eating lightly, cause I'm buying it all anyway.

I STILL, after all these years, crack up when I think of the scene with Bob McKenzie in the beer vat and he burps and the end flies off. Damn, that was a good movie. Sadly, my wife has no clue who they are.
