Engine noise through Sub

What the hell causes this?? It is damn ridiculous. And the amp is grounded perfectly fine i checked it. If my engine revs at all the sub hits. Its hittin hard just not to music lol i had to turn it off. I cant figure it out...

nope no whine from the amp. Ive had the whine before too... the sub actually hits when i rev it. At one point i even took the cd out of the deck and had my friend reved it while i watched the sub hit....

Hmmmm. Sounds like cylinder #2 might be hooked up to 1 sub and cylinder # 4 might be hooked up to the other. Maybe you should turn you distributor cap. LOL. Don't do it.

ok, youve got the power wire straight from the battery, with a fuse near the battery.

speaker wire coming from the amplifier.

and the subs are hitting when you rev the engine?

do they hit in sync with you engine? or jsut randomly, or just once they normal? give us more details!!!

ya power wire from the battery with the fuse mounted in my engine bay. And all the other regular shit rca's and antenna from the deck and speaker wires from the amp and the ground from the amp really is good i even regrounded it. And the sub is kinda irradic to the engine but even if the volume is all the way at 0 and there is no cd even in the deck it definitely subs and it hits harder at higher rpms. some wires must be crossed somewhere i just dont know where...

alrighty then. where do your RCAs run from? anywhere near the engine/tranny? have you gotten your alternator / bettery tested latly?

RCA's should run from the back of your HU through your dash under your carpet and to your amp. They should never go through the firewall or anywhere near your engine or trans.

im just trying to think of things that could cause this, and if there not sufficiently shielded and running near the firewall or tranny then they could be picking up interference.

A common rule is never run your power wire and rca's on the same side of the car. So if your power wire is on the right side, run your rca's on the other side. Sometimes that will cause distortion or noise. As for the speakers play according to engine rpm's I'm not sure if that would cause that.

I see some old wives tales never die. If the volume is down to 0, how much power you figure is going thru the amp power wire ? you guess it, pretty much 0 ........ you could tie-wrap the rca's to the power wire and wouldn't make any difference in this case. If it's making his SUBS move substantially, it's not normal alternator whine, which is usually araond 3KHz. Try unplugging the rca's from the amp, see if the noise goes away - if it does, clean the rca contacts on the cable and the amp and put them in thightly, do the same at the other end of that cable (EQ, xover, cd player or wherever it goes). sounds to me like you have a poor rca connection or a bad amp.
