T-Bird Middle Tail Light

Hello all,
I have a '95 Thunderbird LX and was checking the lights today. I noticed that the middle lamp, the one inside the cab, wasn't working so I decided to check it out. What I found were two very badly burnt bulbs. They were burnt to the point that the glass of the bulbs had melted Not only that, but the plastic connectors were melted as well. I had to force them out of the sockets.
Has anyone run into this problem before? And, is this something I should bring up to the dealer? This seems like a safety concern to me. Is this something they will readily fix, or am I going to have to lean on them? Will they even deal with it? The "case" itself seems to be fine, it's the connectors at the end of the harness that need to be replaced.
Any ideas/experience/input/advice will be greatly appreciated. I am kind of anal about things like this, and it will drive me crazy until it's remedied either by the dealer or by me out of my own pocket.
Thanks all.
Cheers,
Jeff

JR Tigerstar,
Thank you so much for the link. That was a bulls-eye. I have ordered the wiring harness which will arrive tomorrow, and I'll stop at Checker Auto after work for the 912 bulbs. I haven't inspected the housing, but the visible part of the lens is not blistered. The Ford guy quoted me $175 for the lens/housing. No thanks!!!
Again, thank you for the prompt and accurate cure.
