Best system setup for firebird

What would you say the best system setup would be for a firebird as far as number of subs, mids, highs, and amps, placement, and wiring? For example: Would I be better off with say 4 10" subs in the back with some nice components up front or with 2 12's and some component speakers and tweeters?
I'm just trying to get good ideas for good loud sound, but so that bass and high/mid range sound are even. I'm planning on spending about $1000-$1300 in the next 5-6 months on all new stuff, and I want it as close to perfect as that much will get me.

thats a lot.....of Q logic stuff. they seem pretty reputable to me though...good luck with that. I was kind of thinking of going with custom fiberglass, there is a place about an hour from here that does it, but I'm not sure if I want to fork out the money for that. Are there any benefits to fiberglass?

I'm actually pretty happy with the stock system myself. I'm not a bass-head so all the high thumping just gets on my nerves. I like to be able to hear the engine alot more than anything else.
