Rare Econo-'Stang?

I have a silver 1984 Mustang, t-tops, non-turbo 2.3L with an automatic. People are telling me it's a fairly rare car, but I don't know. '84 was the debut for the SVO, I know many of those were sold along with GT's. What about this little pony, does anyone know of production numbers in '84?

Yes they are RARE Fox's. They was actually meant to compete a bit with the Porche's. The problem, is that the SVO devision of Ford did nothing to support the cars. They basically failed at that. Unlike the Turbo 4 Mustang GT's, the SVO's was much more developed, and was the first 79+ Mustangs to get 5 lug wheels, and Disc brakes all the way around. They were just as fast as the 5.0HO GT mustangs. I'll give the production number's later on when I am at my house. BTW, the SVO Mustangs ALL came with 2.3L Turbocharged Inline 4's. If it does not have a turbo, then someone took it off, or has not correctly IDe'd the car.
Now as far as 2.3L non turbo Mustangs, with a T-top, those are also very rare. Most of the T-tops was regulated to the V8 powered cars. Not too many were 4-bangers, and most were LX models.

This thing isn't an SVO or an LX... just a plain jane '84 Mustang with t-tops. The guy I bought it from says it was pretty rare, but I really want to know just how rare. Bought it for $300, gotta adjust the timing, needs a gas tank, a hatch, and a transmission crossmember. I hope I'll be able to get the parts through a Ford dealer.
