hi, im no artist and havent taken any art classes, but artistic ability wise im decent or at least above adverage... i already know how to shade and most of the basic stuff on proportions but specificly i was wondering if anyone could post a sight for me that goes more in depth... i have no problem freehand drawing a real picture, but im interested in getting into design because i already know how to use photoshop, so i could just render the designs on the program..
any help would be great.. i did try make a search for a similar thread and i didnt find one so sorry if a bunch of people asked this b4

im looking for something along these lines that will help me keep the car looking more realistic with the different box techniques and such

Welcome to the forum!
Well one way for sure is to use the box method, but imagine how long it would take to finish a few sketches with this method.
I heard that automotive designers sometimes do over 50 sketches a day, and they do it completely freehand, because it would be otherwise impossible.
You can take a look at my thread I posted some sketches. I know, my perspective is not good, not at all, but I think it shows that it can be done without these boxes, too. I usually start with a wheel arch, then with the front spoiler line and the side skirt. the wheel arches width, the angle and the length of the front spoiler and the side skirt gives you all about perspective for finishing the drawing. then draw or imagine two vanishing points left and right and start.
Only my idea of course.

That is a pretty cool drawing.
You render like www.drawthrough.com
You might want to contact a prefessor at a design school. I will have to look the names up of the popular ones. I am sure some ppl here know them.
I always wondered how/what programs ppl used to render real looking cars too.
