transmission

i have a 1996 sunfire 2.2 aotumatic i got to a stop an wen i got goin it fell out of drive an that was it ,now i have lots of reverse but thats it i checked the fluid everything is ok there so plsssssssssssss can anyone help i dont have a fortune to put in this car im getting married in 17 days ,all the money went to the wedding lololololololololo thanks all . :banghead:

Well... junk yards sell transmissions relatively cheap. There's not much you can do with an automatic transmisison as far as fixing them. Most shops will want to breeak it down and rebuild it which is costly, and a new or previously rebuilt tranny is the same or higher cost.

Pull the pan off and see if you have metal shavings on the magnet on the lid. If you do, you have a serious problem more than likely.
