My throttle cable end nearest the motor looks like a lawn mower chewed on it. The hard plastic end passes threw the bracket at times, and I loose "the throttle" when I step on the pedal. I ordered a new one today. Does anyone know how difficult this is to replace? Or know "how" to do it? Thanks for your help.

the hardest part of this job is getting to the grommet where the cable goes through the firewall. Other than that, it's a pretty easy job. Where the cable goes through the bracket is a plastic piece that you squeeze the tabs to get it out, then it pops back in.

I have a 95 also, mine actually snapped on me while going up hill, i was lucky enoguh that i was goin fast enough to roll into a parking lot at the top of the hill. I called around everywhere (auto parts stores and car dealers) finally i found one dealer that had it for about 26 dollars. The pedal is now alot easier to press down on then the old cable.
Installing it was easy to do, easier then trying to find the part.
Richtazz is right about the grommet through the firewall. Getting the old one off is hard since there is limited room under there.
What i did was remove the old cable from the pedal, took off the pedal. Then under the hood u have to slide out the cruise control cable from the bracket on the throttle body, then slide out the one for the pedal.
Next put the cable through the firewall and make sure the tabs hold it in place. Slide and attach the cable to the throttle body and slide the cruise control cable back in place. Bolt the gas pedal in and attach the cable to the top of it. You should be good to go.

Well...you were correct. Not a real "hard" job. But that grommet is a knuckle buster getting it behind the rear head and into the hole in the firewall. Thanks for all the advice!!

No Problem...Glad to see that your back and running. Does your gas pedal feel easier to press down on now?? Since i replaced mine it is easier to press down on. I like it better but someitmes have more of a lead foot with it......
