I don't know much about cars. But is there anyway i can learn how to fix something or have someone who kinda knows something about cars learn how to fix a certain part? Because I think I need a new alternator in my car. I was just wondering if there some where they can learn how to do it, thats if they already don't know how? I know its a dumb question but hey gotta get this car fixed the cheapest way i can!

You could just go down to your local parts store and buy a Haynes manual. It illustrates it and everything to make it as easy at possible for you.

Ok so someone can do it without me taking it to the shop even though just to get to it you would have to crate the engine? or should i take it in? ahh i just dont know...

If you don't think that you or someone that could work on your car can do it properly then take it to a shop. I've seen people try to work on their cars with very little experience and most of the time the outcome is not what they wanted and it ends up costing more than it would've if they took it straight to a shop. Hope this helps.

Just get a jack with a piece of wood on it and support the engine. Take the motor mounts off and that should give you the room you need. Have you checked on getting it from under the car too. You might be able to jack the car up get the tire off and take the plastic off to make it easier but don't go throught the hassle if it doesn't look like it will work from the get go.

Yeah for sure get a manual, but i don't know anyone with the 3.4 that has ever done the alternator without going through the wheel area.-and use patience and take your time. The manual guides you through that way.
