While searching for V8 swap parts i came across this little thing.
http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=wnd+9007&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp
Wouldnt that work for our 4.3 motors?Sure has the same shape and bolt holes as our valves.
Just thought i disclose what i found.Could be wrong but thought i throw it out.

You don't want to block off your EGR.
Trust me, you engine will hate you for doing it.

It will block it off, but it won't keep the light from coming on and you will fail inspection.

plus your engine will start pinging.
part of the EGR's role is to suppress detonation.

Just thought since i all ever see is people playin w metal trying to block theres off and then plugging the vac hose thought maybe that would help them out.
