Ok, I had all this wired, and due to some former b**** of a friend. Nothing is hooked up now. All the wires were taken out. But I still have all of the wires. I know how to hook them up to the battery, and the radio, but not from the amp to the subs... Can someone please help me...

Are you talking about bridging the amp? or running seperate channels?

I don't really know, I just want the subs hooked back up. I want the amp only on the subs in the back.

What kind of amp and subs do you have? Make and model #'s would help determine which is your best route to get the most power.

I have a jensen amp, (sorry don't know the model #) but it is blue ;) And Bose 10 in subs. That is all I know.

the easiest way to do this is connect the positive from the amp to the positive terminal on the sub. do this with the negative also. can you check on your amp what model number it is? i would be very helpful in terms of how you should hook it up. also, where did you get the bose subs from? this also helps determine how much power it will handle and what independance it will run at.

My amp is a Jensen model #A322HLX. It is a couple years old, but it has been hooked to the Bose speakers before. Until the ***** unplugged all of it. And I didn't know exactly how to hook it all back up.
I am actually home so I can look...

u have a better idea than guessing how much power it will handle? thats why i asked for the model to find the specs. sheesh..people these days...

PS. oh yea..u gotta know what ohm the sub is ya know..

I am thinking about buying a set of Cerwin Vega subs to go in the back. I don't really like those bose subs. Any ideas as to other kinds I should consider.

what's your budget? how many subs do you want? are you planning to buy another amp to power them or stay your current amp? Cerwin vega subs are nice (especially the stroker):D

He wrote that because you "accidently" (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt) wrote "independence" instead of "impedance".

93Civicgirl, Check your amp where you hook the speaker wires up to, to see if you are able to bridge the output of the amp. If you can bridge it, it should say so, and will indicate which connectors to hook it up to for that. Bridging it will get BOTH right and left channels to the sub, as well as increase the power going to it, allowing it to hit harder and louder.

BTW, I like Bose stuff, where were you able to get your Bose sub from out of curiosity? Last I knew of, you could only get Bose car stuff in cars that come with it from the factory. Did you used to know someone that worked at/for Bose?

Yeps, my boyfriend's best friend works for Bose. So I get some good discounts. I have two 10s, and two 12s. So eventually my car will be hitting really hard...

Damn, talk about hookups! I'm jealous. ;) But what am I babbling about, my cousin's fiance works for Harman Int'l here in So. Cali. Awesome hookups when they have their annual employee liquidation discounts. :D

Anywho, sounds like your car is gonna hit quite nice once it's all working good. :) I only have a single 350w "10 sub, but it hits really good, and exactly how I want it to. Have it hooked up to a European model Infinity amp.

If you want my opinion, dont mix the sub sizes -- you want 4 subs, just get 4 - 10's... save yourself a headache! :smoka:

By some chance is there a way that you could hook me up with 2 or 4 harman 6.5 in speakers. Time doesn't matter. I just don't wanna pay $175 for a set here. It is outrageous...
