Molding Lines

In my 2 new kits from Tamiya im wondering where the mold lines are.. can't seem to find them.

The kits are : PIAA Accord VTEC // Honda Accord JTCC and Taisan Starcard Porsche 911 GT2

Sorry, I haven't seen either, but run your finger across the panel lines on the sides of the hood and trunk (bonnet and boot?), they like to hide them there. Look along the edges of windows and stuff. Also look at the bottom sides of the front and rear lips, they're usually easy to spot there.

I know this is crude and is of a different car, but the red lines are typically where there are mold lines.

P.S. Don't trust your eyes on this, feel with your hands, typically paint really accentuates these lines.

PRIMER! - Its not just to provide a base coat, its other purpose is to check for any faults. Its surprising how mold lines show up like tits on a donkey when u previously thought there was nothing!

I've never seen tits on a donkey. are they really that noticable? jk... anyways how does primer do this? is it after you sand the primer that the faults show or does the primer magically make the faults more visible. Im new at this.

It adds a slight layer that really can accentuate flaws (or hide them if they're small enough). Mold Lines show up big time especially if you hold it up to the light and look at the reflection of the light along the body. Oh, and primer is silky smooth so that helps a lot with feeling for the lines.
