Yes, that is an absolutely incredible picture. I certainly wish I could take credit for it but obviously cannot. You should have seen the long tails at least the not as rare GTR's in person.

Thanks BMW.WilliamsF1Team for backing it up on another server.

I'll try to get more images scanned and uploaded during the week. Some of the images are larger than a single page and probably will not be scanned. I feel that I will not be able to do the photos justice.

For the pictures that are larger than one page, try to scan them in sections. I am sure people can "stitch" them together and make them perfect. If the pictures straddle the pages of the magazine, and you are not willing to undo the binding, then that's another matter...

Peloton25

Here's a few more samples - hopefully you can produce good quality scans of the pages in the third image.

Wow, that first shot is spectacular. I'm going to shrink it down and have it as my wallpaper. And Peloton - sweet pics of that magazine. That group shot of all 4 kinds is AWESOME! Whoever has that collection is just incredible. All 4 kinds of F1s in one garage.

The LARK GTR - #13R - is no longer with the collection. That's a recent development, and was covered in another thread. If you missed it I can dig it up.

The photos I posted came from a Chinese message forum. I'm going to try and get my hands on a copy of this magazine soon. It looks like it will be worth the effort. ;) If my plan works I will get a few extras. :naughty:

Added another high res pic.

Peloton: old UMAX Astra 2000U scanner. You can probably get a really nice 4800 dpi scanner for under $200 now days. I'm personally looking at a Microtek i700 for home use. Nice legal size flat bed.

what could i say abuot the first pic, that is just amazing, simply beautiful, i love the GTīs because of their rarity, but if i had the opportunity of choicing one of the F1, F1 LM or F1 GT... ...i would say the three.

Apologies for the delay. My old scanner seemed to have developed some banding issues, so I have had to scan pages 1/2 to 1/3 at a time.

Here are the pages with the specs. Someone will have to download them and then paste them together adn rehost the final images.

Talk about amazing...

If this first image makes your heart beat faster, then you are in the right place. :grinyes:

http://a9.cpimg.com/image/E3/7A/51571939-924b-028001E0-.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/dp037.jpg)
Clickable :naughty:

Even better, I made a version of that image that doesn't have the text or 'Rosso' watermark, and I've also been able to enlarge it to two additional sizes with no noticeable differences in quality.

1024x768 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/mclarens_1024.jpg) - 1280x960 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/mclarens_1280.jpg) - 1600x1200 (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/mclarens_1600.jpg)

You can probably guess what my desktop wallpaper is right now. ;)

I also thought it would be sweet to crop the image down to just the LM and GT to make a separate image. Since this image was created from the largest version of the one above, it's a bit soft, but still wonderful.

http://a6.cpimg.com/image/42/B7/51573826-9262-028001E0-.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/mclaren_LM_and_GT.jpg)
...also Clickable

As icing on this wonderful cake, there is one more image you should enjoy:

Clickable as well

I didn't make multiple sizes of this one. If you are desperate for something larger and can't do it yourself, let me know.

= = = = = =

Someone will have to download them and then paste them together and rehost the final images.

This took a little effort, but that's always worth it.

Those images came from their website - my copies of the magazine are probably still at least 2 weeks away.

My old roommate has a friend in Japan who managed to find those two images on the Rosso site. He's going to work on getting us those six vids of the silver F1 as well.

Peloton25

Bucciali's source claims that it is LM2. For now, that's what we will call it until something more credible comes along that says otherwise.

Edit: Just a quick retraction/correction on what I said above. It was coffeym who told us the chassis number of the LM in Japan - he's certainly in a position to know. It was in bucciali's Recap of Japanese F1 fleet (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=437592&page=1&pp=15) thread - hence my confusion.
