Last time i ordered something from HLJ was almost exactly a year ago, and i wanna know how long the shipping takes (I didnt count the days, and i am getting inpatient :P) for you ppl that live in europe. Ive searched the forums and havent found anything about shipping time so i ask y'all. My order shipped 6 days ago (if anyone wanted to know)

After the package actually shipped, I believe mine took 4 days to arrive. It depends on where you are though. The processing took a long time though.

Give it a couple of weeks. Unless customs take an interest, then it could be a few days longer.

it usually takes a week to ship SAL to the UK roughly 5-7 days
it depends on the airplane wether theres room for the package or not and waits for next airplane

HLJ told me (in person at the IPMS contest) that this time of year shipping is a bit slower, seems the post office is always are a bit slower there in the summertime.
SAL shipments to me in the US have taken anywhere from 10-21 days to arrive once shipped. My latest package arrived today after being shipped 15 days ago. I'd say 12 days is average most of the time. Sometimes it takes them 3-5 days to process an order before shipping.

I always wait 15-20 days (Croatia) untill I receive it. Once I didn't get it for three months, I have contacted HLJ and they resend the package.

I ordered 2 weeks ago from Hobby Link Japan (HLJ), and it took them one full week to process the order before it was shipped. I did not receive the package yet so I cannot comments on their SAL, but I recently ordered from Hobby Seach and they processed the order in 3 days, and I received the package in two days using EMS!

I've used HLJ for at least 5 years now, and I have never had any problems with them, Package usually takes 10-12 days to get to Texas.

I don't live in Europe, I live in the U.S., but i'll share anyways, just for fun. From my experiences with HLJ, they are SLOW. I will definitely save them for a last resort they have something that can't be found anywhere else. Their actual shipping time is ok. Takes about a week and a half from Japan, but it's the time it takes to process the order that seems to take forever. My last 2 orders literally took about a month from the moment I clicked the order button to the time I received them, most of which was waiting for them to process the orders.

I ONLY buy items from HLJ that are listed in stock, so that shouldn't be an excuse.

I live in Berkshire, south of UK, and HLJ are really reliable, once shipped it would be about a week.. Also buying replacement parts from them is super quick too.. I have been using HLJ for over three years now, and it has always been a good service.

Here's what I got with my shippping notice today...
How long will it take for my order to reach me?
Here are some general guidelines for shipping times. Keep in mind that this is the amount of time it takes after you receive your shipping notice, not after the time you place your order.
EMS: 5-14 days
Air Mail: 7-10 days
SAL: 7-45 days (varies greatly by country -- Brazil, Belgium and Italy are especially slow)
Surface: 4-6 weeks (not recommended or insured by HLJ! Read more about this.)
For postal service shipping, customers in Asia can expect their packages at the lower end of these estimates, while customers in South America can take quite a bit longer. Also our experience shows that customers in Italy and Brazil should be prepared to wait up to double the above times for their packages.
Keep in mind that these times are the usual amount of time it takes and packages can be delayed for any number of reasons; for instance, fastidious attention to international shipments due to terrorism concerns may significantly delay parcels to North America. Because such delays are out of our control, please do not contact us about your package being delayed until at least double the maximum amount of time shown above has passed. If you have waited that long, and you still have no package, please follow the instructions on our missing package page.

Customs tend to monitor shipments, keep logs etc.. Customs like to catch you, to get the taxes from you. Little buggers..!!
HLJ are faster then most when it comes to shipping.. I've ordered from them, and from the date of email to goods on my door takes around 6 - 10 days. Posted using SAL. HLJ are great for the bits you don't see often, or are harder to get out of japan, love browsing around their site..
I've got an order at the moment for detail parts etc.. Hose mesh, S2000 dress up parts, an F1 kit, tabacco decals and R34 Z Tune P/E set, and I bet it turns up faster then the P/E set I ordered from www.grandprixmodels.co.uk..
You want the SLOWEST order, order from grandprixmodels.. Slowest system I've ever seen in my life.. To be fair, they were out of stock, and they are nice when they reply to my emails..
Fastest I've seen, F1 Specialties. Just 3 days it took them to get decals from the states to me in the UK.. Fastest overseas I've ever seen..!! Superb guys to deal with, WELL recommended for all you F1 model builders..
