3KGT Gear Oil Question?(GL rating)

Hey guys, Im posting on behalf of Musashi3000gt, his PC is on the fritz right now and I haven't given it back to him, so...

He is looking for gear oil rating for his 3kGT, could he get away with using GL-5 dino oil, or does he have to get GL-4 specific stuff?
(he tells me that his manual states to use GL-4 oil, but he is not able to find any locally)

if it is for the trans, use Penzoil Sychromesh.

is there an o'reilly close to where you or he lives? they carry one GL4 if not use royal purple gear oil. will not corrode synchros and will lubricate better

penzoil synchromesh is the best to use.

wow, thanks guys that was like a while back though. My pc went down and my best friend was trying to help me out. I couldnt find the penzoil stuff so yeah royal purpule did the trick.
