i have a 1991 ford escort lx and had to replace the water pump. now that it is done the engine doesnt sound right. i think i need to reset the timing belt it must be off by a tooth or so. i dont have a manual and am looking for anyone who has a manual and can email it to me. thank you for the help!

what does a code 11 mean on my 91 ford escort 1.9 engine. we did a computer code check and got an key code of 11. does anyone know what this means???

On a 1991 'scort code 11 means testing done and system OK. See, you must be living right. That's the code everyone hopes to get.

There should be timing tabs on both the block and your crank as well as the cam. Just line them up, when I changed mine it took a little cleaning to find but they are there.

the code that i got means the timing belt is over advanced and i have to reset the timing belt. it is off by in tooth. you can NOT obtain a free manual at autozone.com. thank you for all the help.
