2005 Solara Mods

I recently purchased a 2005 Solara and I have to say that I'm fairly pleased with it.

However, there are only two things I am VERY upset about:
1 - The V6 doesn't come with a manual tranny
2 - I have not been able to find any performance parts for it. For example: better header-back exhaust kit, sway bar, turbo/supercharger.

According to an email I received from TRD, they are working on a supercharger for the Scion tC which shares the same engine as the Solara and it should fit my car.

Toyota's are reliable vehichles which is part of the reason I went that route, however, I saw SO MANY aftermarket parts for the 99-04 Solara that I was confident Toyota would again, come out with quality aftermarket parts for this model. I'm starting to think I made a bas assumption. Might as well ditch this for something that has more applications like the 2k6 Honda Civic or heck even a WRX STi. Are there any other decent parts sites I can check out? Can anyone recommend anything?

Its a pretty new car and most aftermarket companies have not started production just yet. You will have to wait this one out or otherwise custom make parts......it has already been done by some people. Check out Solaraguy.org or Toyotanation.com you'll find a lot of info.

isnt the 05 the same as the 04

as for the manual the 05 should have steptronic like transmission like my 04 which i believe might be the only toyota that has it (could be wrong though) the lexus sc doesnt even have that

The Solara and the Scion tC do not share the same engine. The tC has a 4 cyl where the Solara has a V6.
