fords awsome clear coat

i have a 92 mercury grand marquis and was wondering if anyone else has had the clear coat froma ny part of the body peal off im haveing problems with the hood and it keeps spreading to the fenders but i recently put new fenders on so what im saying is has any one else had this problem with there paint

My 91 is just bad.
Sides are fine. Hood, trunk and top the clear coat has peeled away.

What do you expect on a 13-14 year old car? No paint is forever unless you store it inside, never take it out in the sun, wax it weekly with no cleaner in the wax and only touch it with a diaper.

You both live in heavily industrial areas according to your profiles. 14 years of acid rain will eat thru any paint.

You have a point but Ford paint during these years...just plain faulty. Not to mention orange peel.
