Nope. I read about them a while ago, I just didn't know when they hit the market.

Id get a set of them but my mere 91hp engine would struggle to spin them long enough to get them smoking! Plus my rear axle would give up first!

You yanks really dont apprectiate how much easier it is to get a V8 car as opposed to the UK.

About 0.05% of our cars have V8s in them and there ALL high spec cars nowadays like Beemers, Jags or some other performance car. Im a very lucky boy to be able to drive a 1.9 litre car as a first car! the majority of people my age (17) drive somethign from 1 litre to 1.4! It really sucks! Other than petrol (that you get at about 25% the price we pay!) the insurance kills us! I have to pay £1870 te get insured for one year on a 28 year old 1.9 litre 4 cylinder Triumph! And then insurance companies struggle to insure me.... Out of all the insurance companies I checked with only about 10% will insure me!

Now get out and then enjoy your V8s for me :)

Actually those tires arent' gonig to hit the street sorry to break everybodys hopes. But those were the Kuhmo special made drift/burnout tires. Alot of ppl have asked Kuhmo bout buying them but they have gave allthem the same answer. These tires are for offroad offically sponserd vechciles only. But if sombody else makes them dont think for a second my red camaro wouldn't be pouring some red smoke out.

Boy, that red turns to pink pretty quickly. I don't want the red ones anymore. Give me some blue or green ones.

sorry to bring back a dead thread, but... Formula D has made these tires illegal on the circuit because they aren't available to the public. So its stands to reason that Kumho should make them available to everyone so they can use them in competition. So who knows, maybe they will be for sale before too long.

Nothing wrong with bringing up a old thread if it has valuable information on it. Do have a article or press realse confirming this? I'd say with all the money they have put into these tires then for Formula D to say that i would most likley expect a protest b4 the street realesed them but still there is a big possibility.

no hard evidence as of yet. i found out about this by watching formula d. they showed a clip of the car drifting with the 'red smoke' tires, and then commented on the fact that formula d had outlawed them. then they showed the car drifting with white smoke tires and said that they would have to stick with those. i'll hunt around and try to find if there is an article or something about this to confirm it.
