MSD Coil Pack

Would adding a coil pack, like the MSD ones add any hp? I have no plug problems, but I wonder if I should get one? Any sugesstions?

I just added a Screamin Demon coil pack, OBX 10.3mm wires, and NGK Iridium plugs. I haven't noticed much of a power increase, but gas mileage has gotten slightly better. Screamin Demon is supposed to be even better than the MSD one, from what I have read.

Does it cause more of a spark or what? More power to the plugs?

on my dads vortec 6.0 we installed MSD coilpacks, MSD wires, and a 6A box and noticed a serious jump in power. never heard of screamin demon though sounds familar but I cant quite place it. an upgraded ignition system basicaly gives you more spark hence a bigger bang. only bad thing is that without all the pieces the power really isnt noticeable. so if your going to upgrade your ignition system do it all at once. also if you install a MSD ignition box beware the spark, a spark that used to be an ouch becomes an oh god I lost feeling in my right side.

I got all the rest of the upgrades, wires and plugs. I think Ill buy one..
