Egr OR CPI problem. Do you Know?

I have a 1992 sblazer 4x4 4.3 CPI with a problem. Ive gone through the CPI problem before costed me $170. The truck run good after that and then had a fuel problem again. pulled the intake and found the inlet lines were bad, replaced those also finding out my whole engine was filled with gas. Ive change the oil 3 times sence then. it drove good with great gas milage, then it become hard to start. after a Hours trip it had began to burn gas at a fast rate.. later that day the "serive engine soon" light came on..when i got home i ran the code to see what it was. It came up as the EGR valve. I took the top intake off again found some wetness on the left side(passanger). Then I took the egr off to look at that. The plunger was open and after sprayin wd-40 on it, it moved more freely then before and closed all the way. now i struck tryin to figure all of this out. should i need a new egr or could i need another cpi being that it could be the regulator?

I did replace the upper plenum gasket when i put the new CPI in. Also the wires and plugs, along with the dis. cap. My uncle did this with me and yes we did clean the holes as best as possible. The egr has been replaced before i owned the blazer, and there was no carbon build up in it from what i could see. also none blocking the holes. all i know is when i took it off, the egr had been open and was stuck that way. The reason i used WD-40 was to get it moving free again and it is now closing all the way. do you think the WD-40 might have messed it up. I have it off still right now. Now my major concern is why there is wetness on the passanger side of the lower intake. what could that be a sign of?the fuel ppressure regulator?ive reset the computer before. Ive changed everthing but the pcv valve. If anyone knows what the problem could be let me know asap, your time is much apprecaited.

I would replace the EGR it is 40$ at autozone and you said it was "stuck" once it may be faulty even after you freed it up it is cheaper than the CPI and a good place to start with your problem

If theres no gas or anything wet in my intake, then could it still be the fuel regulator? The temp keeps going up n down from time to time. it has no power when u hit the gas petal. when u actually use the gas more then a feather foot it burns gas like no tomorrow. Does this sound like the egr?
