Engine oil in Radiator

Recently I have been finding engine oil in the radiator of my 1986 S10 Blazer with a 2.8L engine with 162,000 miles. I changed the head, intake and timing chain gaskets and I am still getting oil in the radiator. It is definitely engine oil since the oil level is dropping. This engine does not have an engine oil cooler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

very well might have put the head gaskets in upside down or back wards , or you may have a cracked head , sorry d00d

I would have to say that you probably installed the head gaskets properly, since it's a pretty easy job.

So that would mean the heads are probably cracked

Have you considered that the rad might be shot and it's letting oil from the oil cooler lines into the main core?

Ive got a 2.8 in an 86 that has a blow head gasket if you live near NC you can come get the whole truck for free. Or I can take the heads off and ship them to you for about 100 bucks plus shipping. pm me or e-mail me at [email protected] and tell me what you want to do

Its also a 5 speed with a new process 207 transfer case.

well heres the deal I bought it for 150 bucks about 4 months ago for a window and the tailgate. A freind of mines been telling me for a month he wanted it but he still cant seem to come up with 45 dollars for the tow bill from my house to his I told him if he wanted it to take it but hes taking forever and he's one of those people with 100 excuses for everything. If someone wants the whole thing its free you just have to get it the hell out of here but the parts Ill sell cheap because I would have to take them off and that lessens the chance of someone wanting to take it off my hands. Im in north carolina so shipping to canada on a tranny will be pretty expencive and im not 100% positive it's still good. Ill pm probe713 and see if he wants it if not ill pm you.

I live in a small border town, so it's easy for me to get car parts sent up to Cerlew by UPS. The problem is that Cerlew store won't let me send anything through UPS, so that's when it gets costly.

I don't need a 5 speed, just perfer them over my auto. I'm thinking about dropping in a bigger V6 and might switch transmissions at the same time.

Well this 5 speed tranny wont work with anything other than a 2.8 because of the bell housing or I would put it on mine and get rid of the 700r4 thats in it. Still no word from proto713. I think im going to spend the weekend taking everything thats good off of and just have the empty shell towed to a scrap metal yard when im done with it.

I've got the 2.8L in now, and want to change to a 3.4L comaro V6 motor.
It's a direct bolt in engine, with enough power to keep me happy. I only take my Blazer down the highway far enough to reach the back roads that I want to travel down at the time.

You might be able to get more money than you can imagine with the high cost of scrap metal for the truck as it sits

well I couldnat have helped you anyway the tranny is shot I spent 22 total hours getting it out and one of the gears (4th I think) is compleatlt torn out and some of the syncronisers are bad too so basically I did it all for nothing anyway. Im having it shipped to a scrapyard tomorrow so I can get this monstrocity out of my face.

Yeah I did, all I wanted was the back door, back glass and the rims and tires that are on it I paid 150 for it and the rims are american racing outlaw II's and it has a knockoff of bf goodrich at's with 90% tread and their 31x10.50's so I got a pretty good deal. Its also has a body lift on it but im mnot going to go through the hassle of taking it off since they suck and their 80 bucks.

I wish that I could get a deal like that.
