Thanks everyone for the replys. I ran the ALCL diag. and got 4 codes. They are as follows:
code 26- Quad driver circuit( have car checked by dealer)
code 27- Gear switch diagnosis( have car checked by dealer)
code 39- Torque converter clutch( Check ECM connections, check for faulty Torque converter clutch solenoid)
code 41-Cam sensor(Check for faulty connections, or a faulty cam sensor. Maybe also indicate a problem with the vehicle's timing chain.)
Also, when I ran the diag, the ALCL connector only had 3 of the 12 holes with something in them (ground, diagnostic terminal, and 1 other).
The first 2 codes,26 and 27, have come up since I bought the car which was about 2 years ago. Any ideas?
Thank you again for everyone's input.

coil pack with intermittent open?
test drove a Lumina a few weeks back that acted like that. First time I drove it (cold) it ran great. Second time, after someone else had just driven it, it ran like crap at lower speeds (fine on the highway)
