Suspension or steering? Clank!

When I go over a small or large bump, there is a clank in the front of the car that I can feel in the wheel and pedals. what could it be?

I'm so sick of spending money on this car!!! New oil pump ... new steering ties .... engine flush .... new cam shaft sensor .... new engine mount ... HAD THE DAMN THING 8 MONTHS!!

Thats a vw for you. You will need a new control arm on the front. Hope its one of the cheaper ones on the top. You can buy a master set that has all 4 control arms for both sides on e-bay for arround 600$. At the dealer it would cost close to $2,000.

Are you sure? that's wayyyy too expensive right now. I suppose its dangerous too. It just sounds (the clank I mean) dangerous.
