Hey guys. I just bought a 95 prelude S from a dealer for 3000. It's great except two things. The ABS light is on and the brakes. When you slowly hold the brakes, the pedal will soon go to the floor and pressure will be lost. I figure that it is the master cylinder. If so, how expensive would it be to fix it? Also, is that possibly the reason that the ABS light comes on?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't know about the "ABS", maybe because something is wrong with the brakes the abs light is on (but correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm not sure if your car has abs, cause it's a Types S or maybe the 95 model came with it....) To change the master cylinder is very simple just take the two bolts and hoses off that's it. "BUT" if your master cylinder is giving u problem make sure it is not leaking inside the booster. The cost for the master cylinder is around $30 after returning the core. good luck...

Hey, I think your right about it not having ABS because I looked up on Autotrader.com and it said that the S version didn't equipped with abs. So my questoin is how do I get the stupid light to turn off. By the way, I just got my master cylinder replaced and it works great now. I just gotta fix the abs light.

Guess what. I was fickin stupid. The car is an si model. I checked the engine and it's an h23. I just didn't know crap about preludes and assumed it was a base model because it had no si badge. So, to clear that up. Now I do have an si. BTW, I fixed the master cylinder, replaced. Although, The ABS light is still on, so it must be a sensor. Thanks for helping guys.
