91 2.5L Engine Problem HELP!

Well I have a little problem. Every time I start my truck I hear a swooshing sound come out of the engine bay and then it goes away at idle, but when I give it some gas I get the same sound. When I turn the truck off it sounds like water running through a pipe. I think it might be the water pump? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. :newburn:
