hey everybody. i'm not sure what section to post this in, so i'm going to put it in a couple of sections...
i'm looking at getting a 2-way security system for my car, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or opinions.
originally i was thinking about getting a Viper system, but a friend of mine suggested getting an AutoPage system (i'm looking at the RS-855LCD from them)
I haven't really been able to find any reviews or comparisons, and am wondering if this is a good security system. Like does it have good range, good security, is it reliable, etc.
I like the price (i've found it for pretty cheap new on eBay and stuff), but i don't even know if it's worth the price. if anyone can enlighten me with their $0.02, it would be great.
Thanks.

you need to find someone that has one ... the range can be kinda limited on some models. I guess what I would wanna know is, why do you feel you need one ?

There's actually a few reasons...
I've actually always wanted to have keyless entry.
I go snowboarding a lot, and it would be great to be able to use the remote start in the early mornings before I leave, or in the afternoons so we don't have to get into a freezing car (I live in CO, so it is pretty cold in the mornings in the winter), and also it'd be good to have the engine warmed up before I'm trying to drive 60-75 MPH on the highway.
Also, related to going snowboarding, I just got a new stereo in my car (and my friends and I leave a bunch of stuff in the car while we're riding). Leaving the car in an open parking lot for 5-8 hours a day, I'd feel a little better having an alarm on the car. Although it's never happened to me (before now I never really had anything worth stealing in there), I do know some people who have had their cars broken into while snowboarding.
so those are my reasons. it's not really a feel like i need, but it's something i've wanted for a while, and to top it off the little bit of extra security that I would at least FEEL like i have would be a big plus to me.

I got the viper 791vx I love it. The range is good and the alarm doesn't go off for everything only if u bang on a window (as if u were trying 2 break it) i got a good deal from savingsoasis.com and if you have a nice car you don't want people 2 get near you can put a radar
