hey everybody. i'm not sure what section to post this in, so i'm going to put it in a couple of sections...
i'm looking at getting a 2-way security system for my car, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or opinions.
originally i was thinking about getting a Viper system, but a friend of mine suggested getting an AutoPage system (i'm looking at the RS-855LCD from them)
I haven't really been able to find any reviews or comparisons, and am wondering if this is a good security system. Like does it have good range, good security, is it reliable, etc.
I like the price (i've found it for pretty cheap new on eBay and stuff), but i don't even know if it's worth the price. if anyone can enlighten me with their $0.02, it would be great.
Thanks.

don't buy a cheap alarm. A cheap alarm will ruin your life.
maybe not that bad, but pretty close. Buy a CODE Alarm. Or a top of the line viper. Spend at least 600$ if you're having it installed by someone else. If you arent paying for installation, spend like 400.
There is this new Compustar alarm that gives you a mile and a half range. and its got auxillary outputs so you can add your own extra features. you'll spend over 600$ on it. Thats what I've got and I think it's bad ass.
