red C/F hoods

Need opinions on those red carbon fiber hoods do they only look red when the sun hits it? What do you think

Red carbon fiber hoods are available for 88-91 civics at nopi.com they also come in blue and yellow

Personally i like the plain old Black/grey carbon fiber. I dont really like the colored ones.

is it a colored clear coat? or colored threads?

Its colored thread. And there are not actually carbon fiber, they are carbon kevlar. I saw one on a newer civic while i was in Seattle for HIN and it looked really cool.... im trying to find one that is the ZC style with the red in it... so far all i can find is the SiR hoods with the red in them.

but just to throw this out there...it might fade

yeah but im not gonna do it cause its the 'cool' thing. i want it to match my car. and from what i saw it would match pretty good.

I think they look pretty cool. At some angles it matches the car really well, and at other angles you can definately get the CF look from it which looks awesome. Win win situation.
