Skunk2 Adjustable Pro Series Coilover

Does anybody here know anything about these coilover's? Apparently they were just released from Skunk2. Everybody has been suggesting me to buy the OMNI Power coilover's but then I noticed these Skunk2's on ebay. Isn't Skunk2 a better brand? Or are OMNI's really that good? I have about another week to decide.

My suggestion is lowering springs with adjustable struts. Koni yellows & H&R springs. Before you invest in true coilovers I suggest you research what it takes to set them up & knowing that you will need to do that every time the height is changed.

To answer your question I would choose Omni over Skunk 2 but personally I wouldn't use Omni's because they do not feature adjsutable dampening.

OK I was just doing some research on those Koni Yellows and H&R Springs and even though all that will cost almost exactly the same as getting the OMNI coilover's I like the idea of being able to adjust my ride quality rather than the height. Too bad you can't do both. But before I go ahead and buy those I just had one more question. How do you know so much about suspension? Have you or anybody you know ever used that exact setup? Koni Yellows and H&R Spring's on a 95' Integra. I don't mean this offensively at all, I'm just trying to make sure it will work before I go and spend almost $700. Thank you for all your advise.

You can do both, a good coilover setup features both height & dampening adjustments. You could do something like Ground Control sleeves with Koni yellows or go with a true setup like Toda's. There are many options, its all about how much money your willing to spend - suspension is not cheap - here's a bunch of good coilovers - http://www.modacar.com/products/Acura/Integra/MODACOI/ If you want to save money go with Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGX's if you don't lower more than 1.75".

The reason I don't rec. adjustable height because it's useless on the street. The real purpose is for balancing a car even though it has evolved into a height adjustablitly market. Every time you change the ride height you will need to have your car aligned and corner weighted. Corner weighting can be skipped but what's the point of putting "race car" parts on if your not using them for what they are meant for?

I know a lot about suspension because it's what I like most, handling. I work on cars every day, have installed almost every type of springs, struts, coilovers, coilover sleeves under the sun. I also work part time at a race shop(SCCA road racing). Autox, road raced, kart raced, attended 3 pro. instruction racing schools.

The next step after springs/struts or coilovers is the rear sway bar. You can make huge difference without affecting the ride like STIFF springs do.

Those have been out for a while, but to answer your question they are a good entry level coilover setup.

I just bought the Skunk2 Pro Suspension and they kick ass. Skunk2 is some of the best quality parts for honda acura out there. You'd be a fool to think that you'd be getting anything else but quality. The kit is fully adjustable and rides smooth so adjusting your damper doesnt really matter that much.

I'm not going to argue with you but I just wanted to mention that about a month ago I bought the Tokico Illumina Coilover's. They are a true coilover with adjustable ride height and 5 way adjustable damper. To put it lightly they are awesome. Night and day difference. To me it's worth spending the little bit of extra money to have a true complete setup. I can change my shock rate within seconds with the turn of a key that they give you. And better yet I managed to get them for $700 at my local tuner shop, brand new.

Thats cool. The skunk2 coilover suspension is built for the track so you know your getting performance and thats what my car is set up for (circuit racing). I dont expect it to be super smooth just lower the center of gravity and have tight cornering. I like the suspension so I'd reccomend it to those who are looking for a race set up rather than just street thats all.

Having the ability to control your damper set up and ride height is good for street and then being able to change it for track or whatever. I mainly only use my teg for track and cornering so im not worried about my damper too much.
