Bet you've never seen one of THESE (http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~aedennis/Forester/ATV.htm)! Yea...it's not a Nissan (hell...I'm not even sure if it's a car at all...), but it's kinda cool!

that would be pretty fun to have...can it be considered a go-kart or 4-wheeler? then the most you can get is a ticket for driving a unauthorized vehicle on a road.
if it was registered as a car, then you would need liscence plates that could be ran back to you if you ever decided that running from the cops is so easy. tickets for not having a hood, windshield, rear view mirror, etc. an officer could have a field day with that car...

Actually, the artical said that it's registered as a tractor to comply with some law(s) in New Zealand where it is.

I have no idea. Doubt it'd need anything other than what ever you have to do for a regular ATV.

umm...the 300hp engine your referring to is a 2.5L boxer engine. he only has a 2.0L which would lead me to believe that he used a less powerful engine. :D
VG30DETT= too heavy...thing would be a little front heavy.
13Brew would be ideal. :evillol:

Well it shouldnt be less powerful. Less touquey yes but not less powerful. All STi's around the world aside from the US got the 2L turbo. The US was the only place to get the 2.5L. They were both rated at 206kw (the 2L and the 2.5L) but the 2L obviously had less tourque. the 170kw engine must be from a normal WRX or maybe an older STi.

170 kilowatts = 227.973 horsepower.
550 kilograms = 1212.5 pounds.
1212.5 lbs / 227.973 hp = 5.318 lbs per 1 hp <---STI ATV
2601.4 lbs / 806 hp = 3.227 lbs per 1 hp <---Koenigsegg CCR
478 lbs / 173 hp = 2.763 lbs per 1 hp <---2005 Hayabusa 1300
3219 lbs / 300 hp = 10.73 lbs per 1 hp <---Z32 TT
That should put it in perspective for you guys.

yeah thats what i was saying...i dont think he used an STI motor at all. it just so happens to have a STI top mount intercooler.
looking at LLTZ conversions...i would onclude that he probably used the standard WRX motor but i am sure is making more than 170kw because of the simple fact that the exhaust is shorter and probably opened up. it has ram air and probably gets alot better air cooling. not to metion the fact that he could have possibly upgraded some other things like an STI intercooler. im sure he is putting down numbers closer to STI performance.
reguardless of anything...the thing will fly.
