Whats wrong with judas priest?

Im just getting more into judas priest, finding more of their stuff, and i think they're really good. But then i find that nobody likes them. Well, not actually NOBODY. Just that, they're as good as iron maiden, if not better, but they have far less fans, and far less respect, some people on the internet even bash them, because they are cheesy? Sure they dont have the best lyrics but that doesnt mean they arnt good, i find their solos much more interesting than iron maiden solos.

So, why are they hated? Because the have cheesy lyrics? or maybe it was something they did in the past? like sell out or something?

they are hated becaused they are washed up has beens who keep trying to jump start their career by bringing in new people...to the point that its barely even the same band anymore.

also, the instant rob halford came out of the closet, ever homophobic metal fan all of sudden decided to bash them because....well "them gays aint no good"

that and yeah, they're pretty ridiculously cheesy. the black leather, spikes, long hair, shred head guitar masturbation, and lame lyrics are so 20 years ago.

but if you like that kinda thing, more power to you. i used to like them alot, but i grew out of my metal phase along time ago

nothing wrong with priest at all :D I was on the judas priest concert in Scandinavium, Sweden, goddam they rocked :P much better live.. and when they threw out clips and drumstick I stood on a clip, but was beaten down before i could get my hands on it :(

I have their Screaming for Vengeance album on vinyl. I like it.

priest fuckin awesome. some people stoped liking them cause rob is gay, who cares they still kick ass weather hes a flamer or not.

I have a question about the song beyond the realms of death, some people hate it for some reason but some say its one of their best, so whats up with that?

theres nothing wrong with Judas Priest you just need to hear the Painkiller album, ive seen them live once and will be seeing them live again this october, personally i agree with what was said earlier, just because halford is gay doesnt mean hes a bad singer and it doesnt make the group bad, what matters is, halfords voice is awesome and the guitar riffs are sweet!

Most real metal fans like Judas Priest. I don't know where you heard of everyone hating them.

Just got my Priest tickets. Can't wait to see them in October. Anthrax opens.
