well i went to the track for the first time which was really cool but my car was insanley slow. but at least i beat a stang. my first time was 18 my best was a 16.511 with a r/t of .24. i have a 1992 lude with a jdm h22 in it and everything else is stock also it is auto and yes i know that is gay but i have no choose. does a mid 16 sound right or is something possibly to blame other than the auto. i also still have the govenor and rev limiters on could this be a reason and also how can i get rid of them without having to spend 500 or more for a program or chipping the ecu.

Yea.......numba 1 promblem, Automatic..............if u run an automatic with no rev limiter and so on, there's a huge chance of stressing the trannie to a point where you'll just end up replacing the trannie or an engine enternal...............best advice, get a manual trans and convert.............sell the auto trannie on ebay...................

Bah, he'll fry his auto tranny anyways so when that happens just switch to manual.

Umm, auto or not. You should have got way better than a 16.5. I just went to the dragstrip for my first time on wednesday and my time was 16.01 at 87mph. I don't even have a H22. I have the si with the H23. H22's have a lot more power than the H23 because of the vtec. That time sounds pretty crappy. If it was the F22, then it would make a lot more sense.

ive really been wanting to do a manual swap but every post ive read on this forum and others say that it will be to hard or to expensive to even bother. is there any site that has a complete set up for a swap so that i dont have to go through ten different sites to get all the different parts. also what price am i looking at because ive been planning on buying a turbo which will cost me a little over 4grand. thanks for the help.

GReddy will supply you with a kit that has all of the necessary supplies for $3,200.. turbo efficiency is around 100hp.. maybe more, depending on your previous mods. This is on a daily driven setup, (7 psi) with stock internals. Just bolt it on.

hmm..GReddy doesnt have a really good rep around here though so may be that shouldnt be an option...

i was looking at the turbonetics bolt on kit at like 3900 but i figured i would run into some type of problems plus tuning so thats why i figured it would be over 4 grand

Greddy kits suck. As much as I like Greddy their turbo kits are incomplete. No intercooler, a shitty engine tuning system, etc.
Turbonetics kits are pretty good, as are drag and rev hard.

yea i hear rev hard makes good turbo kits so you should consider that because that turbonetics kit your looking at is expensive..

As far as the tranny issues go in swapping from auto to manual, you are better off just buying a car that is already a manual and swapping your engine and mods over, then sell the auto car. You will be out less money that way.

i looked at the rev hard tubo kits and they look good but they dont make one for a 92 prelude h22 its only civic with a h22 or a 97+ prelude. is there a kit that will work for my car with the h22. i was thinking about what you said prelewd but i would end up having to sell my car for like 100 because there would be no motor so it would be a big loss for me.
