My '92 LeBaron is in rough shape. I just got a new top for it, new Pirelli tires and a new exhaust from the cat back. However the I blew the head gasket, the valve cover gasket is gone on the rear of the engine and the front one is on its way out. I have the opportunity to drop $2000 into a long block(entire engine and components) or to get a new carfor about the same amount. Is it worth getting a new car or putting the money into this LeBaron which hasn't been good to me so far.
any opinions are appreciated!!!

well I voted against the long block...but my dad decided he wanted the car to drive in the winter instead of his 78 vette...so he's droppin the money for it...i cant wait to see how it runs...

well the Lebaron is officially back in action! It has a motor with 80,000mi. on it. It seems to be fine. At first, however, I did get a little scared when I started driving it because when I stopped I saw smoke coming from the hood. I decided I wouldn't worry becuase it was probably only fluids that my have been spilt after the new engine was installed. And since, I haven't seen any smoke! YAY...but it sucks that the car is now my dad's winter car...and I need to look for one. Oh well
