WTF is LS? I hear people talking about LS/Vtech, but I have no idea what LS is.
Also, I'm planning on swapping in a ZC. Do I need to re-wire DPFI to MPFI (90 Si Hatch)?

ls= b18a/b dohc 1.8 liter non vtec engine that comes out of the integra LS/RS
and you already have mpfi if you have an si ;) so just throw the engine in there

Ls/vtec is simply (or not so simply) mounting a vtec (b18 or b16, or even a b17!) head to the ls/rs block of a b18a or b18b engine (integra), and replumbing your oil line externally, which the vtec illeterate mind sees as a good swap. over all it leads to a bad r/s (Rod to Stroke) ratio (which means at the piston's peak, the rod is not exactly vertical (as it should be), pressing the poor little pistons that the vtec is kicking so damn fast, right into your cylinder walls, and some times, right f#@*ing through them:devil:! sounds good, but it's a bad idear. you'll be fast for a while, but furious when you spread your transmission all over the interstate. peace. -ice

well...yes and no. it is a good swap/hybrid. just dont expect it to last forever. i had one for about a year. then i switched it for a b16a. i put about 28k on it in that year. and it still runs great. but i also made sure i did it right. and now it is in my garage...
check this page (http://www.geocities.com/thelsvtec/)
it can be done. and it can be done to last, and be reliable..but you have to know that it isnt supposed to be done. the oil deliveries are different..and the r/s ratio is different. but if it is done strong, and safe..it will be fine for a long time.

Do it right, or don't do it at all.....
And trust me, EVERY aspect needs to be adressed and built accordingly. NO hybrid engine is gonna take a shit-kicking, day in and day out for a long time if not built correctly......

Hey Chad... What's with the Incubus reference? Did you know that I'm an Incubus fan, or is it just coincidence?
