Ignition Wiring

My son has a 1989 Camero. Bad ignition, the car won't start.
Bought new ignition, took out old one. The 2 wires are gone right off the old ignition. Can't find the old wires so we know where the new wires go. Can someone please give us a clue. Thanks

Ignition switch Ignition module? Pictures would be nice.

I think I know what you are talking about. The 2 wires that come off the ignition switch run down the inside of the column down under the access panel that covers the column and wires.
