'94 Concorde, I just noticed when the hood is closed, the under hood light stays on. I have been looking and looking and looking lol. I can't seem to find a plunger switch for it under the hood. Anyone know what triggers the light?
Thanks in advance

That is because there is no plunger switch, the lamp socket itself has a mercury switch that opens and closes depending on the angle of the socket. you can test it by removing the lamp assembly from the hood and attatching a jumper wire to it and a ground point on the body and tilt it up and down at various angles in relation to how it mounts in the hood to see if the light goes out. maybe you can get away with bending the mounting tab slightly so it will go out, if you can not get the light to go out then you need to replace the socket assembly, but until you do so I would remove the bulb so it doesn't drain the battery if the car sits for long periods of time.
