A friend of mine just had somebody back into his door, took it in to get it looked at and the guy said it was going to be around $1,400 to fix just that.. got me a little worried here...
Just wondering....
I just took out a mailbox the other day, mabey 3 small dents in the door, ripped the sideskirt off, and a small dent on the back right after the hatch, how much roughly do yous think it would be to get the sideskirt put back on the door, and the small dents taken out....

Hmm, I have no idea. But to give you an idea, this happened to me last December:

I slammed sideways into a tree. Cost the insurance a little over 2k to fix. And that included painting the whole door, fixing the rear quarter panal, and painting a partial part of the rear bumper.

He's not lying about that one. My 1st car (nissan 200sx) went to macco to get painted and they fo paint over all that stuff Viper said. There was paint on my taillights, they rush the jobs, give it one clear coat, and it chips really easy.

Maaco is pretty good.....good paint that lasts a while if you wax it every 3 months or so.
They did overspary some, but nothing hurendious usually.
Had my car 3 times and my bros 1...painted.
They screwd up a couple times on mine where it chipped but stood by their warranty and havent had a problem since.

lol, if im pay 300 - 500 dollars for a paint job, i dont want my windows, head / tail light, exhaust tips, side markers, mirror glass, etc... painted. granted its cheap and you get what you pay for, but i rather just spray on some primer and wait untill i can afford a really good paint job.

Uh.. you're not really suppost to wax once every 3 months.. I do it once a year. You using some cheap wax or what?

I wax once a month. Its not like you can "overwax," can you? I do it that often just because I like the feeling of my car bein nice and smooth. Because after it rains, it just feels the same again, without wax. Not because it didn't get a chance to dry. I let it sit and dry for a couple days in the garage.

Oh of course you cant OVERwax. I just wax once a year though, or until I see the water on my car not bead then I wax it, especially since it sits outside in the clear view of the sun so dont want my paint to get ugly.

I used turtle wax 2001 on my Camaro, but it was like glue that you had to put on and kinda hard to do. So on my Monte I used Meguiar's The Gold Class wax, its like putting makeup on your whole car and it was pretty easy to use, I hope it stays on for a while.

Yeah I didn't think you could overwax. When I was in ROTC and used to polish my shoes, I would put like 20 coats of polish on em and they were nice, shiny, and smooth. Figured the same concept was with wax. As for what wax I use. Well I actually use 2 different ones that look awesome together. The first coat I use "Turtle Wax's F21 Car Polish" with Nano-Technology. Then as the 2nd coat I use Maguire's NXT Generation Wax. Look's like a show car after I'm done.

Funnies thing though was when I waxed my Camaro, like the top of the car, the roof I mean it was like no clearcoat on it anymore and the paint was all dull, when I put some wax on it, MAN that thing looked nice and smooth, I wanted to go across the hood like they did in Super Troopers.
