Interior Lights Stay On

I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 ext cab and the interior lights seem to go on when they want. They stay on when I lock the car and they stay on when I unlock it and turn the car on. It even comes on while I am driving it. Could this be connected to my keyless entry system? Or is there some type of sensor that may be bad. I have also noticed that it comes on more often when the vehicle is wet. Is this something I could fix myself or should I take the vehicle to the dealer? Please help!!

it sound like the door pin is bad. does the domelight override button work, that would be a temp fix till u get it taken care of.

The dome override works but the dome light still stays on even if the dome override in pushed in. The light comes on when it wants.

It sounds like your wires to the light are shorting before the switch. The water just makes the short make better contact faster. Do you have some extra wires(radar, aftermarket lights, etc) added that may be on the same circut possibly aiding the short? Time to trace some wires.... Got a Haynes manual? The manual has wiring diagrams in the back.

I have nothing else attached to the vehicle. It is pretty much the same as I bought it. So there are no extra wires or anything.
