the odometer has stopped working but the speedometer works fine. also fuel and low coolant lights are always on, even though there is gas in the tank and the engine is not overheating. the mechanic says that the problems are not related to a loose wire or anything.
can this be transmission problem (the mechanic says so) or should I suspect that the entire instrument cluster has gone bad? if it is the cluster, how much would it cost to replace it?
thanks.

i have a 88 buick regal and the dash clusters are known to be bad on those the odometer and fuel gauge usualy the problem, your low coolant light might be a bad sensor that is located on the radiator just below the cap, i had priced a cluster at a junk yard they wanted $250!! so i will just live with the problems you might check E-Bay or something like that. if you find something let us know... Good Luck
