Well if you have someone do all the work it's going to cost you a arm and a leg seriously, i have dropped atleast 10-13k on my camaro.

i am pretty confident that if i have the complete engine and wire harness that i can get it in there and running, just wondering what parts i might need that i am not thinking of. sounds like it should be a strightforward swap. the only thing i am not sure of is will i have to modify the fule system in anyway?

Im sure you do, just to met the fuel demands of the new engine. It should be a straightforward swap because if you got a V8 in your 3rd gen the Lt1 bolts right up.

v8 and tpi injection. Im not sure what fuel pressure you need for an lt1 but it might be the same or close to that of a tpi's. That and you will need a 4l60e tranny.unless im mistaken

Yes, the TPI and LT1 use the same fuel pressure's. So there is no need for a pump change.

is there anything that i should be concerned about in a 1993 lt1??? a junkyard in detroit has one with 53,000 miles, harness and computer for only 1000 dollars

You will need to swap your pump, tbi runs substantially lower pressure.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me but I would expect to have to change the opti or cap and rotor at least.
