'94 Sentra A/C problems... Please help!

I'm having problems with my '94 Sentra's A/C. I think the A/C is out of refrigerant. What sort of refrigerant can I use with this car? Do I have to use an old one like R12 or can I use the newer 134a?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It should say under the hood on the a/c sticker which one you need. It will be expensive if it is r12. be sure because you cannot mix the two.
