Loose Tilt and Turn Signals

Hey everyone,
Trying to fix up my 1995 Grand Prix, and along with trying to get the turn signals I'm trying to find out if there is a fix to my tilt problem. When I have the wheel all the way up, its nice and stable, but if i move it into one of the lower positions, it has slight movement in it. Not that big a deal, but its driving me nuts. Along those same lines, my hazards button broke off and ever since then, my turn signals hesitate to turn on, or don't turn on at all. If anyone has any ideas on either of those things, please let me know.

the hazard switch is part of the turn signal switch, so when it broke, it caused your turn signal problem. there are two switches, one for cars with accessory controls on the steering wheel (delco #d6214a) and one for cars without the steering wheel controls (delco #d6226a). Replacing the switch will cure the signal woes. The tilt problem is fairly common, but the repair involves special tools. You'd be better off taking it to a shop for that repair.

Thanks for your reply. Actually a buddy of mine does all my repairs, even has gone as far as replacing the entire column in one of his old Caviliers. Thats the only repair/fix that he knows of for the tilt problem, so I was hoping to find something else. If you would be so kind as to let me know what tools would be needed and what exactly the problem is, I'd appreciate it. Although replacing the column might be a simple solution considering a junk yard has one for $75. Thanks.
