As far as I know, no one in the automotive forums own a 69 Yenko.
Yenko's came witha 427, that had 425 HP
0-60 in 5.4 sec, 1/4 mile in 13.5 sec @ 102mph
Be prepared to pay alot of money if you dont know already, as real Yenkos are hard to find, and can range up to about 30K.

Hell of a lot more than $30. A nice 69 will fetch 30, a Yenko??? I've seen them advertised for $50+, actually saw one for somewhere near $70. NOW that might not be what they actually sold for, but still...

Wel Jim, the reason I said upto 30K was because I was looking at old 60s Maros and saw MANY for under like 10, hell many were under 5K even SS but I have seen a Yenko selling for about 20-30K, not calling you a liar but that's what i've seen. but MAN 70K is TOO MUCH for a Yenko, even though I love the crap outta them, i'd expect to pay 70K for a 69 Charger because those are rare after the Dukes of Hazzard crashed a bunch of em.

If you're looking at a Yenko under $30k its either in abysmal shape or it's a clone. I haven't seen a honest, documented 69 Yenko for anything close to $30k.

I honestly didnt think that they went for more than that. Oh well i'll look around.

A 70 RS/SS in concours restore / original shape are woth $30k+, and they're not even CLOSE to being a 69 Yenko in terms of desireability or rarity. What did they make 300??? Most are either dead and gone, or ina collection someplace. You'll pay with blood or testicles to get a REAL one.

I will have to agree on you there, because they did make around 300..
I want a Z/28 '67, they only made like 600 of those so can you imagine them? They only made em in manual, and you cant even tell its a Z28 because they dont have any badges on the outside.

i saw one on ebay a actual yenko and they wanted over 100k, so it's definetly over 30, you see regular restored maro for that price.

Man it'd be so much easier/cheaper to freaking buy one that is all crapped out, and then restore it.

You're just a little off here so I'll help you out. I found this in my American Muscle Cars book.
Super Stock & Drag Illustrated tested a '69 Yenko Sports Cars 427 Camaro in its July 1969 issue and the results were mind-boggling. The only deviating from a production 427/425 engine was a set of open Dough Thorley headers. With 8-inch-wide M&H slicks the 4.10 gears, the Camaro rolled to an 11.94 at 114.50 mph.
If I read this right this was a little option you could mark above a normal Yenko.
Be prepared to pay alot of money if you dont know already, as real Yenkos are hard to find, and can range up to about 30K.
I've heard if one went on sale today like on e-bay or the open market, the owner could easily set the starting price at 1 million.

Alright, everyone back off, I made a mistake :)
Muscletang, I looked up those in www.musclecarclub.com (http://www.musclecarclub.com) and there's a bunch of info there, so yeah, thats a quick Camaro though.

and a yenko clone its easy to find??
Rally Sport
08-08-2005, 07:18 AM
Doesnt take much to make a clone, just need the yenko decal, hood, seats, brakes, trans and engine. Thats all a Yenko is, but the real ones have obviously more value.

Man I just thought about something. If that Yenko which is going for about 50K right now, imagine how much the '67 Dodge Coronet R/T would be worth? Im talking the Convertible here with the 426 Hemi.. only 2 made..
That or the '69 427 ZL-1 Corvette.. THREE made. God damn imagine how much THEY go for.

I'm liking the Valve Covers on the ORANGE one, I like the fins.... I also like that manifold with the Big Bowtie up front and center. (The green one's valve covers are nothing fancy.)
Question: Do you think that Chevy manifold performs as well as an aftermarket manifold by say: Edelbrock or Brodix, or another company like them???

Maybe, I would think so because usually aftermarket is better especially since almost 40 years have passed. :lol2:

that car is freaking awesome....i was looking at it earlier and i know its totally off the topic but i couldnt help but notice the question that guy asked him
Q: "Do dis car be showcar Watcha looking to gets. Was ya give rides toos me? Maurice"
A: Dear Maurice, obviously, the education system has failed you. If you have a job, I would suggest taking whatever money you have left on payday that you don't blow on Schlitz malt liquor and pork rinds and purchase "Hooked on Phonics--narrated by Retardo Montalban." I'm sure it's available with a fine Corinthian leather cover in a 'hood near you.
